The center of Sanba is forecast to move directly over Okinawa, Japan by 00Z on September 16, 2012 bringing sustained winds of 115 knots with gusts to 140 knots. The U.S. Air Force Base Kadena on the island of Okinawa, Japan, has upgraded the Current Tropical Cyclone Condition of Readiness to TCCOR2; destructive winds of 50 knots or greater are anticipated within 24 hours.
